Meatballs anyone?

I love frozen meatballs and Harmons has some on sale for 2.99 and in Smart Source from 12/7 there is a .50 off coupon.
I'm a bit confused about some of Grocery Smarts deals:
Harmons: Keebler Crackers, any 8 oz. or larger $1/2 (2-8-09) RP-12/14. I can't find that coupon in RP. Anyone else?
Albertsons: Nestlé Toll House Refrigerated Cookie Dough, any $1/1 (3-1-09) RP-12/7. Same thing here. Am I just being special?

Toilet Paper Tantrum

I'm frustrated that Charmin, Bounty and Cottonelle give cheapy coupons. Saving $0.25 isn't exactly a great deal. So for those of you who have been able to use these coupons well, please share. Is it best to get the smallest pkg? Which stores tend to have the best prices on these products in general? Wal-Mart normal pricing? or Albertson's/Walgreen's sales? (sigh) Too bad you can't live hygeinically correct without toilet paper - 'cause it's a pain.

This week at Walgreens Dawn dish liquid is on sale for 99 cents and with the P&G coupon from 12/14 that brings it down to 50 cents each.

HOt Chocolate drinkers

Wanna add some flair to your Hot Chocolate?? All of the winter flavors of Coffe Mate liquid are $1.50 and with the dollar off coupon they are .50 cents. I stocked up last year and ended up with 20 bottles and gave ton away. I think the flavors are Peppermint Mocha, eggnog, pumpkin spice and gingerbread. They are sooo good in Hot Chocolate.

GrocerySmarts Passport

Does anyone have the passport code? It was given to me once, but I lost it. Maybe I need a few classes in organization . . .

Dryel Products

For those of you whose husbands have to wear a suit and tie every day, you have a lot of dry cleaning. (Or perhaps you prefer a higher quality of clothes yourself which also equals dry cleaning.) Dryel is an at-home dry cleaning product that has saved me a ton of money over the years. I take my husband's slacks and suits in for professionals to do it only about once a year because of this new system. There's an online coupon at boodle.com for either the Dryel starter kit or the refill pkgs. Each is about $10 and the coupon will save you $3. The starter kit (if I remember correctly) will clean 16 garments and the refill will clean 24. It's not perfect, but like I said, it saves a lot of money and keeps you out of the dry cleaners a WHOLE lot more often.

Cheesy Deal

I know most of you are out of town. And the sale ends Saturday night. But Harmons has a great deal on 2 lbs of Tillamook cheese. $4.99. You can price match at Wal-Mart if you wish, but you can only get medium cheddar, colby jack (which I couldn't find), and one other kind that I can't remember at the moment. I stocked up. I plan to grate it and freeze for later.

Wal-Mart Batteries

I haven't yet compared this with "the list" of good/bad prices. But I feel it's a good deal: Wal-Mart AA batteries 8 pk. are $5.50. Use your $0.75 off coupon and each battery is $0.59. Not too shabby.

Milk at Walmart

Maybe you all know this already (I tend to notice thing late...), but a gallon of Milk at Walmart was $1.78 today! Good price!

Batteries at RiteAid

The battery deal at RiteAid this week is not too shab. If you purchase $20 (before coupons) worth of Duracell batteries, there is a $10 rebate. Plus, there are store coupons and manufacturer's coupons from this past Sunday's paper that bring the price down even more. Also, if you're interested in the P&G extra coupon book, Duracell batteries count towards earning that. (By the way, I called P&G today and the $50 of product purchases do not have to be on the same receipt, just all receipts have to be included with the mail-in form).

So here's how I worked it this morning that I'm pretty proud of:
1. I transferred a random prescription to RiteAid and got a $30 gift card for the purchase. Cost: $4 of flex spending money for the prescription
2. I purchased an 8-pack of C batteries, one 4-pack of C batteries, and a pack of Pampers diapers, all P&G products. I used manufacturer's coupons from this past Sunday and store coupons which knocked the price down by $6.50. Total due: $27.45
3. I filled out the mail-in rebate online (because I'll need the receipt for P&G) to get $10 back.
4. I used the gift card to pay for everything and have a few dollars remaining.
5. Actual money from bank account spent: $0
6. Credit towards special coupon book: $30-something, $20-something to go
7. Joy of saving money: priceless
