Hey, I learned something new today, so in case any of you are as new at this as I am, I thought I'd share... I went to Smiths today to pick up on some "deals" and they were out of one of the items I wanted, the Green Giant Steamers that w/ coupons end up being $0.50 -- anyway, the new ad begins tomorrow so I ask if they had any in the back. The man said no, but said they would still be on the next ad, even if they're not in the published ad. There was another fellow couponer there and he explained that on the sale price tag (at the bottom) it will list how long the price will last. In many cases, especially when they're doing the "mega sale" like they are now, some items run for like 3 weeks, but are only advertised in one ad. So, next time they run out of a really good deal, check the tag, they just might be on sale for longer than you think! --- Also, they often will do rainchecks for the sale price for many items, but rainchecks don't usually include the bundle sale discount (like buy 10 items, save $5 - like the Green Giant Steamers are on now) Have fun shopping!
