Ok, I am slowly but surely coming out of my newborn bubble (Can you believe she will be 7 weeks old tomorrow?). What was that Huggies deal again? Can I still get in on it?

Hey, I learned something new today, so in case any of you are as new at this as I am, I thought I'd share... I went to Smiths today to pick up on some "deals" and they were out of one of the items I wanted, the Green Giant Steamers that w/ coupons end up being $0.50 -- anyway, the new ad begins tomorrow so I ask if they had any in the back. The man said no, but said they would still be on the next ad, even if they're not in the published ad. There was another fellow couponer there and he explained that on the sale price tag (at the bottom) it will list how long the price will last. In many cases, especially when they're doing the "mega sale" like they are now, some items run for like 3 weeks, but are only advertised in one ad. So, next time they run out of a really good deal, check the tag, they just might be on sale for longer than you think! --- Also, they often will do rainchecks for the sale price for many items, but rainchecks don't usually include the bundle sale discount (like buy 10 items, save $5 - like the Green Giant Steamers are on now) Have fun shopping!

Gerber food coupons

My sister who just adopted a baby has started using gerber foods and was wondering if I could find any unused coupons. If you don't need them I would love to have them so I can send them to her.

Piano Anyone?

Of course, not everyone needs a piano, but this is a steal of a deal if you are looking for one. In the BargainFinder there is a 1903 Piano for sale. Upright grand in great shape. One key is stuck. $100!!!!! The piano itself will honestly weigh about a ton - so it would be a bit of a beast to move, and the stuck key would cost a few hundred to fix, but that's still a GREAT deal if you're in the market. It's certainly worth looking at. call (435) 216-8382. Remember that if the piano doesn't look all that impressive that's not as important as working well. I've known several people who've striped their pianos of paint or another finish, sanded everything down and refinished it to look beautiful. Doesn't take a rocket scientist, but it does take a little patience and time.

Bath and Body Works

Just in case you don't know Bath and Body Works is changing there look so they are selling all of there old style signature collection stuff for $5!!! That is amazing as is, but if you go to this link http://goodorfreedeals.blogspot.com/2009/01/bath-body-works.html you can get a coupon that states with any purchase even a dollar or less you can get a free signature collection item. It has to be the old style though. I believe this is good until Sunday!

Beer Rebate at Albertsons on Sunset

There is currently a beer rebate available at Albertsons on Sunset. It is located on top of the cooler that holds the beer near the cheese. This rebate says that if you buy $30 in chips, soda, deli items etc. you will get $7.50 in rebate.

Here are a few tips: in the state of Utah it can not be a requirement to purchase beer, so all beer rebates in Utah are alcohol free purchases.

If you submit a beer rebate, remember to circle the before coupon price. For example: if I buy $25 in chips, but have $10 in coupons, I circle on the receipt the $25. A coupon is just a way to pay for the chips!

Also, cheese is a deli item. You can get the blocks of cheese, which are currently on sale with the in ad coupon at Albertsons. It doesn't have to be the sliced cheese from the deli section! If you have trouble finding the beer receipt let me know.

Kool-Aid juice boxes - $0.75/package (10 boxes/package)

Walmart has their Kool-Aid Jammers on a clearance rack for $0.75 each (each package has 10 juice boxes). It is on a rack in the middle of the aisle, between the milk and the butter.

The rack also had babyfood jars for $0.25 each (sorry, I didn't look to see what kinds of baby food).

Albies Quaker Sale

Quaker Oatmeal

I went to Wallgreens today to try and get their oatmeal and of course it was all out. So I went to Albertsons on Sunset and was just browsing when I saw a Blinky (is that what their called?). Anyway, it was for a dollar off the Quaker low sugar oatmeal and high fiber oatmeal. I got the low sugar because it still comes in the variety flavors and who doesn't like their kids to have less sugar anyway?! It's originally 4.39, on sale for 2.00 and then with the coupon it's 1.00. Better than the Wallgreens deal. Yea!

Free ticketes to the circus

At the checkout counters at Albertsons on Red Cliffs Drive, they have free tickets sitting out - they are a FREE pass, "admit one child 12 yrs & under" for the 2009 Jordan World circus. The tickets are for Monday, Jan 26th at Hurricane Washington Co. Regional Park. Showtimes are 4:30 and 7:30. I asked the clerk if it was ok if I took 3, and he said "of course!".

Maybe we'll see y'all at the circus!

yoplait yogurt expiration dates

I was just enjoying one of our great purchases from this morning (yoplait yogurt Kids). I bought several of them, so I thought I should look at the expiration date and eat the ones that expire first. I was surprised to see that some expire tomorrow! So, especially those of you, who bought more than one thing of yogurt, you may want to check when they expire and freeze them if you need.
Yoplait Yo plus digestive also desn't last too long.

Walmart and Coupons

When i left there they were really getting sticky about price matching and coupons. Most of them will not do it. Some of them will. I will not name names but she is in our ward who is a good one to catch. She works from 6 to about 11. Ask and I can tell you who does it. As for printed coupons they have a hard time taking them but they should. The only reason some don't are because there was a coupon scam online and people were printing false ones. Tell them they can verify it and they should take them. Just make sure you talk to a CSM(those front people with the headsets) and tell them that the coupon is verified and legal and they should use it. It is getting harder and harder to be a coupon queen and go to wallyworld.
