We heard a rumor that the Bloomington WalMart is closing and a Sam's club will be replacing it. Whether it's true or not, who knows. BUT -- If you check their clearance section (in the gardening area) every few days, you may find some treasures. I've found girls and boys outfits and shoes for $1-$4, Children's Tylenol for $5 (among other pharmacy items), and a mad assortment of toys. A game I've been looking for that retailed at $20-$25 I found today for $10. There is also bedding, clocks, and swimming gear. Happy Hunting!

Does anyone not have a printer? It's like seven years old, but it's been a good one. It's an all-in-one, but the fax/scan/copy has quit so it only prints now (color & B/W). It is older, so it doesn't print at "top" quality, but the only time I ever notice is in printing photos, the rest of the time it's great. We just got a new one and I thought a while back someone told me they didn't have a printer, so I'm offering free it to a "good home" (: Give me a call if you can use it.

I discovered today that the register rewards at Walgreens don't print if you use a coupon to get them. For example: Bought Gillette Fusion at $9.49 with register rewards for $2.50. I couldn't combine that transaction with my Huggies purchase because I was using a coupon for the Huggies. I had to do two separate transactions to get the catalina to print. I then went to another Walgreens on my way home to purchase a Venus Embrace razor. It was the same register reward deal as the Fusion. I figured I could use my previous register rewards toward this and still get my catalina. (Don't ask why I thought that. It now makes no sense.) Didn't work. I think this is a crummy deal. Combining coupons with catalinas used to be great and the store still got their money from the coupon. I wash my hands of the situation, but I'll have a lot fewer reasons to go to Walgreens from now on.

I was going throughy my coupon inserts, and in case you didn't notice, in the SS insert from either 5/3 or 5/10 (sorry, I got my coupons mixed up during those two weeks, so I'm not exactly sure which one it came in), there is a coupon for a free canister of windex wipes or windex antibacterial trigger with mail in rebate (up to 4.50 value). Supposedly, Kmart is having a double coupon sale week, starting today 6/7 and going through 6/13. On Krazy Coupon Lady, she posted the following from K-mart's corporate:

Straight from KMart: "All stores except locations in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, Virgin Islands, and select stores in CA, FL, IN, and PA are participating. The stores will only be accepting 10 coupons per customer per day."

I have read on random blogs that this was an unadvertised sale, which is why you didn't see it on the weekly flyer today. However, even if the cashiers are not aware of the sale, the cash registers are supposed to already be set up to automatically double your coupon value, up to $2.

I've been on the lookout for garbage bags for a while now knowing that mine were running short. They run about $6 for 40 tall kitchen bags. Today I found Hefty bags at Wally-World at $5.38 for 80. Then I used the $1 off coupon and felt I'd done myself a decent service considering I had two (at most) garbage bags left at home. So in a pinch, this is where to use your coupon.

I don't think Smith's advertised this. I went today to get some strawberries for 4/$5 and found that they were on sale for $0.99 each. That was a bonus. Then Albertson's has a sale on Breyer's ice cream 2/$5. If you use your Breyer's coupon for $0.75 off (expires 5-31-09), then each is $1.75. That's pretty darn good for a good name brand. I am glad you posted this, IHOP called me shortly after Ruby closing and offered to accept the 2-4-1 (sorry, they won't offer the FREE lunch) so pass the word on to all your friends please. Also FYI, the FREE oil change offered by Guy's Auto Master is completely booked. Guy's offers the Dixie Direct FREE oil change by appointment only and as of March 14th he was completely booked for the year. He does 5 FREE oil changes a day at specific times 6 days a week. With this being the case I have contacted GOOD OL BOYS, Tire and Service on Telegraph and they will offer Guy's FREE oil change coupon for ONLY $12.95, you must still call in advance and take your coupon with you, but they can take care of you if you call 628-5205, they are also in Dixie Direct. I know that this isnt FREE but $12.95 is still pretty good! I will try to fix this issue also in the future. great deal at the arts festival in down town

We took our kids to the arts festival in downtown St. George today - free face painting and hair decorating for the kids, free craft projects, great art, and yummy (expensive) food.

But I wanted to tell you about a booth at the festival that, to me, seems like a great deal. There is a booth hosted by the Washington County School disctrict, selling the pottery work of two brothers. They are high school kids and won a national competition for their work. However, their prices are SSOO reasonable - anywhere from $5 for the "mommy pots" (the two pots on the right in the pic above), or $25-$40 for some pitchers & bowls of different sizes/colors/shapes (the green pot on the left cost me $30). When I talked to them about how inexpensive their pottery was, compared to some of the other booths at the show, and the fact that their work was just as good, if not better - one of the boys said they didn't think it was right to price their own work so high when they are able to make it for free at their high school. I was so impressed with how honest and nice they seemed - and they really do have great quality pottery work at their booth. If you get a chance to go to the arts festival, I highly recommend you check out their booth! They are located right next to one of the tables that has free crafts for the kids - just a little bit north of the library parking lot.

Oust air sanitizer is $2.82 - use the $2.00/1 coupons to make them $0.82 ea.

Halls cough drops are free with the FREE halls cough drops coupons we received. Priced at $1.58 at Walmart (the coupon is good for a value of up to $2.29 off)

I also tried this at Target a few days ago and it worked (but I went in today, and they were all out, so you'll have to wait until they get stocked up on this). The Renuzit air freshener is $1.92 at Target. Use the $1/1 Renuzit coupon that came in the mail on 2/22/09, and then also use the $1/1 Target printable coupon, for a total of $0.08 overage. I just tried this at Target and it worked. Target has the 6 cups Motts applesauce for $1.69. Then use a $1/1 Target printable coupon and also the Mott's $0.55/1 coupon (this can be printed twice) and it then becomes $0.14 for a 6 cup pack.

I just thought I'd share... I went to the Bluff Street Albertson's today and was hoping to get in on the Glass Plus deal. That particular Albertson's does not even carry the Glass Plus Cleaner, but the store employee I spoke with said that the other local Albertson's probably do since they are larger stores. ---- Anyway, it's a pretty good deal, with the in ad coupon the price of the Glass Plus is $1.79 and you get a free roll of paper towel. If you print the online coupon, you can get the Glass Plus and free towel for only $0.79, but shop for it at Washington or Santa Clara.
